Carl Hamilton is an experienced litigation attorney whose practice covers business, real estate, construction, and toxic tort litigation. He joined the former Ewers & Toothaker Law Firm in McAllen in 1960, where he was a partner until 1991, when he joined Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez. Carl graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with an L.L.B. in 1960 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and multiple U.S. District Courts. He served as a member of the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee from 1995 to 2017 and as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Court Rules Committee from 1995 to 2005.

A Rio Grande Valley native, Carl served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958, including as operations officer on a destroyer escort.
