J. Joseph Vale
Partner, Board Certified
Joseph Vale is a partner at Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez and is board-certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He handles the firm's appeals and provides trial and litigation support, representing clients in appellate courts across a broad range of legal issues. Joseph served as lead appellate counsel and presented oral argument before the Texas Supreme Court in Mo-Vac Serv. Co. v. Escobedo, 603 S.W.3d 119 (Tex. 2020). He grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University in 2009 and cum laude from Baylor Law School in 2012, where he was Senior Technical Editor for the Baylor Law Review.
Joseph has been named a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2022 and 2023 and serves in leadership roles with the Hidalgo County Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section, and the Federal Bar Association Southern District of Texas Chapter.
